World News – “Lend Me Your Brain”

/

Lovably reminiscent of ’80s jangle-pop akin to The Go-Betweens, “Lend Me Your Brain” is a new track from London-based trio World News. Soaring vocals start alongside fast-paced guitars, also reminding of Billy Bragg in tone. “Lend me your ear,” the vocals invite during the bridge, as the “I’ll be with you tonight,” refrain leads into a enjoyably jangly guitar section. The track comes via World News’ newly released EP, Job and Money. Fans of rock with a jangly ’80s fondness should definitely seek it out.

“Lend Me Your Brain” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.
