Marcus Piña – “Great Divide”

//

Marcus Piña‘s “Great Divide” is a textured rocker with shoegaze and alternative influence. The track comes from Piña’s debut solo EP, You Are the Only One Here. The artist’s vein of dreamy rock incorporates deeply layered guitars with psych-friendly sophistication, reminiscent of acts like Spiritualized and other late ’80s/early ’90s acts of that vein. “Walk along, great divide,” makes for a captivating concluding refrain amidst these entrancing guitars, with a lush and dreamy acoustical-laden charm closing things out. “Great Divide” is a stellar track from a promising debut EP.

“Great Divide” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2021’ Spotify playlist.
