David Pollack – “Listen to Mother Nature Sing”

/

A heartfelt new track from David Pollack, “Listen to Mother Nature Sing” speaks to the beauty of nature’s tranquil embrace — especially in arduous times. Guitars and piano melodically accompany the vocal lead, ascending with breezy charm alongside soulful, consuming backing vocals from Samia Mounts and Karyn Ann. “Listen to mother nature sing,” the vocals let out lushly, as the ensuing verses retell of a difficult past year. Saxophone, courtesy of Jay Manzinita, adds an atmospheric concluding touch. “Listen to Mother Nature Sing” shows further stellar songwriting from Pollack, who is now based in Portland, OR. Pollack was previously featured with the track “Turning Grapes.”

Pollack elaborates more on the track below:

“‘Listen To Mother Nature Sings’ is a song I wrote when covid first started to wreak havoc last March. I took many walks around the park in my neighborhood to let this song materialize and marinate. It was only in that park where I could truly listen to mother nature sing and start to make sense of it all. When I felt the song was in a good place I made a demo of it in my room and had a lot of my friends send me tracks remotely to add to it. I sat on this track for awhile and as it slowly became less of a demo and more of a quality recording I decided to release at the one year mark of covid 19.”

“Listen to Mother Nature Sing” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2021’ Spotify playlist.
