Guy Jackson and Hetty Clark – “Catching Paradise”

“Catching Paradise” evolves from spacious, atmospheric intrigue into memorable electro-pop energy. The track, a collaboration from Guy Jackson and Hetty Clark, succeeds with engrossing soundscapes and creative structural twists — aesthetically resembling a fond cross of Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Portishead. Clark’s “won’t you stay with me?” line exudes a consuming yearning amidst developing synth arps, followed by a spacey twist around 02:37 that captivates. I’m looking forward to more releases from this collaboration, showing a stirring sound rich in soundscape and melodic appeal.

“Catching Paradise” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2021’ Spotify playlist.
