Louise Aubrie – “Last”

/

Out today from Louise Aubrie, “Last” is a yearning rocker written in New York, recorded in London, and mixed and mastered in Los Angeles. The track comes ahead of Aubrie’s fifth studio album Antonio, out on October 15th via artist-run label Carrot Bone Records. The track’s chorus is especially replay-inducing, the “at last,” refrain exuding a hooky charm in a power-pop fashion. Jangling guitars complement the “where is Antonio?” vocal line with an added vigor. Hooky and emotive, “Last” is a success from Louise Aubrie, whose upcoming album Antonio is certainly anticipated.

fun fact: “The cover artwork is an homage to The Pet Shop Boys ‘Actually’ album cover.”

“Last” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2021’ Spotify playlist.
