Nathan Charles – “Country Burning”

/

Nathan Charles‘ new track “Country Burning” is a track from his upcoming EP, expressing the artist’s concerns with the world around him. The opening line shows as such: “Who left the oven on? Somebody call the preacher, we need a sermon, something wrong.” The backing beat, exuding a playful synth-laden charm amidst sporadic percussive pushes and brass flourishes, captivates throughout. This is an impressive release from the 24-year-old rapper from Lompoc, CA, who’s certainly on the rise.

“Country Burning” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Hip-Hop.
