Leo Clarke – “Pleasant Moon”

/

London-based artist Leo Clarke crafts a vibrant, melodic success with new track “Pleasant Moon.” Plucky guitars and glistening piano push alongside amiable vocals, adding various harmonious vocal layers past the one-minute turn. “Sing to me, and build me a dream,” Clarke sings during the verses, the prancing piano-laden charm being apparent in the ensuing section as the second minute approaches. With shades of Beirut, aesthetically, “Pleasant Moon” is a winner from Leo Clarke.

Clarke writes:

“This song is an ode to guilt and the weight that carrying that guilt around can put upon you. Sometimes it’s better to just embrace our mistakes and try to move forward. It’s the first single from my debut EP ‘Petroleum Dandelion’ and was produced by myself in various bedrooms in South London.”

“Pleasant Moon” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2021’ Spotify playlist.
