Love Crumbs – “Ellipses”

//

The stirring “Ellipses” is the latest from Love Crumbs, also catching our ears with the track “Cavalcades” in January. The Massachusetts-based group expertly blend Americana, folk, and rock alongside a powerful vocal lead, evident in “Ellipses” especially upon the one-minute turn. This bridge, with rousing percussive stomps and culminating vocal twang, grows melodically and with spirited vigor. A touch of piano around 02:20 adds lovely form to the open-road verses — “14 years on the interstate,” — before one final go-around from the captivating bridge and chorus. “Ellipses” is another winner from Love Crumbs.

Per the band: “The track is about trying to connect with someone and not being able to despite the best of intentions. It’s about the things that aren’t said or are left unsaid.”

“Ellipses” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2021’ Spotify playlist.
