Barista – “Haze”

“Haze” is a track from Barista‘s recent album, Open Sesame Vol 2: Press Rewind. Shimmering guitars open the track with inviting qualities, expanding with a feverish rock twang thereafter. The vocals glide in alongside organ-laden touches and the steady guitar-based backbone. “All I needed was you,” the vocals let out, emitting a Springsteen-esque charm. The “played the part as a joker,” bridge adds a suave, laid-back disposition, contrasting nicely against the more rock-forward moments.

The Istanbul-based rock project is the moniker of musician Bahad?r Han Ery?lmaz, churning out a timeless vein of rock, as evidenced by “Haze” and other highlights on the album.

“Haze” and other memorable tracks from June can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2021’ Spotify playlist.
