!KOBI – “LECHON” (feat. Jean Cardentey)

An impressive hip-hop showing, “LECHON” is a new track from NYC artist !KOBI, also featuring Jean Cardentey. Short and sweet at just a minute-and-a-half, the track doesn’t waste any moments; the soundscape and confident flow entrance throughout. A spacey backing synth pulse complements a confident vocal lead to start, with bass-y reverberation around the one-minute mark exceeding alongside the smoother vocal layers. The “so fascinating,” hook exudes a funky, replay-inducing charm throughout. “LECHON” shows well with its sturdy production and flow, aptly described as “Low End Theory meets NYC Hip-hop.”

“LECHON” comes via the impressive album !TRENCHED, streaming below:

“LECHON” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Hip-Hop.
