LearningToDive – “You Said It Best”

/

“You Said It Best” is a recent release from LearningToDive, the New Zealand-based artist who impressed a few months back with the tracks “Promenade” and “I Stand on an Ice Floe.” “You Said It Best” drives initially with lush acoustics and soaring backing vocals. The lead vocals show a suave, calming quality initially, with the title-referencing turn rising amidst spirited guitar-based exuberance. A haunting synth and sounds of children playing converge with piano during an effective bridge, leading seamlessly back into the initial showing, now with additional, entrancing vocal harmonizing.

The video for “You Said It Best” was created with footage of the artist’s trip to Norway, where he recorded and produced most of the Norwegian Pop album at Ocean Sound Recording Studios.

LearningToDive is the alter artistic identity of recently re-established musician, producer, vocalist and composer Bravo Bonez, often exploring the genres of post-punk, 80’s, alt-rock and pop. Stylistically different from his usual music, LTD “focuses on the more serious aspects of Bravo’s life and his perceptions of the world.”

“You Said It Best” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2021’ Spotify playlist.
