Nikki Wozzo & The Bad Whiskey – “Wild Rose”

An escalating southern rock charmer, “Wild Rose” opens Bad Whiskey, the latest album from Nikki Wozzo & The Bad Whiskey. The Los Angeles-based artist blends rock, country, and blues throughout the album with seamless appeal. The bluesy verses of “Wild Verses” are nicely punctuated by a suave guitar twang approaching the one-minute mark, shortly thereafter featuring a passionate twist amidst more expressive guitars and rhythms. Approaching two minutes in, a lusher guitar repertoire emerges with delightful results, guiding smoothly into the bluesy initial verses. “Wild Rose” is a stellar opener to an album with a consuming sound for fans of southern rock.

“Wild Rose” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2021’ Spotify playlist.
