“Forgotten” is a moving, lushly produced track from Circling Skies, the project of Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer Nolan Thies. Spacious synth-laden effervescence and trickling guitars cast an intriguing feeling amidst serene vocals, gradually ushering in atmospheric guitars that shimmer with a post-punk nostalgia. Further, wordless vocal soaring and resonating guitar distortion makes for another memorable section, also exuding a post-punk and synth-pop convergence that engrosses. “Forgotten” is fully exemplary of Thies’ melodic and atmospheric talents.
