Crossroad Saints – “Cradle to the Grave”

Indiana-based southern rock band Crossroad Saints impress with their blend of rock, blues, and Americana throughout new album A Song of Your Own. Lead single “Cradle to the Grave” shows the stellar songwriting of vocalist/songwriter Daryl Venable, whose vocal variation impresses especially during the rise to the two-minute mark. Here, his vocals rise from suave bluesy retrospection into passionate, rock-forward frenzy. The title-referencing hook, featuring a responsive vocal backing, melds bluesy rock nostalgia with original appeal. Fans of blues-forward rock with a throwback appeal should seek out Crossroad Saints’ new album A Song of Your Own.

“Cradle to the Grave” and other memorable tracks released in August can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2021’ Spotify playlist.
