eliza elliott – “Go Outside!”

“Go Outside!” rides on a bouncy synth-pop charm, lyrically contrasted by a season-ending yearning. NYC-based artist eliza elliott incorporates backing acoustics and melodic vocals alongside the playful synth tones, escalating rhythmically during the “tell me what it’s like,” rise. The bridge around 01:45 — with the wordless vocal build-up to “are we still on a team?” — is another especially catching moment. A pop charmer with bittersweet lyrical longing that plays convincingly, “Go Outside!” is a stellar pop production from eliza elliott.

“Go Outside!” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
