Bursting quickly with twangy guitar delights and a steady acoustical backbone, Desjarlais’ vocals exude a chilled-out demeanor before ascending accordingly — “why’d you keep it inside?” The punctuating “just tell my why,” plays with an entrancingly yearning quality. Sounding parts Smith Westerns and Teenage Fanclub, “Tell Me” is a surefire highlight from Pseudonym, off the quality new album Before The Monsters Came.
