Dad Bod – “Tenderness”

/

Consuming with its growth from subdued twangs into anthemic soaring, “Tenderness” is a new track from Salt Lake City-based band Dad Bod. Hazy, suave guitar twangs and subdued vocals guide the initial verses, crafting a quaintly effective sense of momentum. The culmination is fully satiating; the chorus soars with a timeless effervescence and outpouring emotion. The warming pad-forward backing and guitar glistening accompany enjoyably, gearing toward a steady psych-pop build in the final minute+, touting a hypnotic glow. The beautiful “Tenderness” is a convincing success from Dad Bod.

Also recently released, “Pages (Am I doing right by you?)” further showcases the band’s consuming songwriting and ’70s nostalgia, sweeping production:

“Tenderness” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Mellow Rock.
