Described as “a song about drinking / wasting away with your friends with a night of ‘orange koolaid,'” the production echoes that youthful, invigorating energy through its steady guitar pulses and alternating lead phrasing, shifting between “I could not live without it” insatiability and harmonious “ooh-ing.” “Orange koolaid, is what I crave,” an especially memorable segment proclaims, followed by exhilarating wordless melodic outbursts. “Orange Koolaid” is a raucously fun power-pop success from Stonefruits, whose upcoming releases we’re certainly now anticipating.
