Tawni Bias – “Two Poodles One Cake”

/

A haunting track from Calgary-based musician and producer Tawni Bias, “Two Poodles One Cake” enthralls with emotively ghostly vocals, brass flourishes, and stirring guitar work. The underlying acoustics and brass spurts are prominent from the get-go, the introductory vocals emerging as the brass fades. 01:30 sees a rise in vocal intensity alongside textural brassy brightness, the track’s climax re-emerging past the three-minute mark with steady percussion. “Two Poodles One Cake” is a moving track fully exemplary of the quality songwriting throughout Tawni Bias’ new album, SEL Fellow.

“In the long process these tracks were created in I found healing—and I hope others will too,” Bias says.
