The old-school hip-hop nostalgia is apparent in the vocal-first and hypnotic beat intertwining, with a more modern shine in the addictive chorus: “Thoughts + Beats = INNOV8! and Grow!” The next verse is particularly entrancing, somewhere between the intro’s laid-back suaveness and the chorus’ melodic immediacy. “INNOV8!” is a riveting success from Nemesis.
