feeble – “I Am Here”

/

“I Am Here” is a consuming new track from Swedish artist feeble, meshing folk intimacy with pop-friendly momentum. Prancing, ghostly acoustics complement opening lyrics that aptly depict an enigma: “I am here. I tell you I’m gone.” Throughout, the track’s ethereal and hypnotic production plays with a resonating allure, a stellar follow-up to the single “Time Is Slow.”

Later on, “I’m last in line,” refrain also stands out, incorporating electronic-minded percussion in the midst of twangy acoustics, resulting in a captivating electro-acoustic fervency. Stefan Ekenberg’s vocals and songwriting succeed throughout this aesthetic and melodic accomplishment.

Per feeble, the track — inspired by the works of Ethan Gruska — is “about one-sided love and how you try to gain the one you love’s attention and affection by giving her space. But that obviously only works if she likes you back. Now you end up last in line.”

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2022’ Spotify playlist.
