“High of You” is a new single from Sussex-based singer/songwriter Hetty Clark, in collaboration with composer Guy Jackson. Clark embraces a spaciously atmospheric mode of songwriting amidst downtempo electronic production. Delicate piano and electronic textures linger into a soothing vocal lead, rising with passion past the one-minute mark in riveting form, reminiscent of Kate Bush. The “I love you,” line into the buzzing synth and “carousel of broken dreams,” sequence plays with particular entrancement.
The consuming track was mixed in Brighton by Olly Shelton, a Brighton-based producer who is also one-half of the pop duo PELA.
