Jeremy Ratib – “Red Moon Drive”

/

Touting a haunting sound reminiscent of Cass McCombs, “Red Moon Drive” is a riveting new track from Jeremy Ratib, an artist from Zürich, Switzerland.

Creaky guitar tones and wistful vocals craft a soundscape fit for overcast yearning, sounding like a procession of ghosts. “I wish I could speak,” Ratib sings alongside ghostly guitar tones, his multi-layered vocals reflecting a state of living in fear. The feeling of helplessness is poignant amidst the nocturnal guitar tones and haunting backing vocal effects. “Red Moon Drive” is exemplary of the moving soundscapes and stirring songwriting from Jeremy Ratib, reminiscent of artists like McCombs and Thom Yorke.

The track comes via Ratib’s new album, We, Sacred, streaming below:

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2022’ Spotify playlist.
