“Run Away” is a riveting new track from Norwegian electro-pop producer Ben Alexander. A serene synth pad is quickly complemented by a heavy bass line and reflective percussion. Alexander’s vocals assume an understated emergence, as the title-referencing rise ushers in further bass-driven intensity and synth additions.
A spacey, shimmering synth leads the following bridge, enamoring atmospherically into the ensuing bass-thumping verses. The warming propulsions of the bass stand out especially well rounding the two-minute mark, driving into the serenely impactful “I don’t care about their faces,” interlude, strongly reminiscent of Röyksopp. This section builds with radiating brilliance to the track’s conclusion; the re-integration of bass, synths, and rhythms play seamlessly.
