“Photographs” is the eerily consuming new track from Ellereve, the alias of Bavarian singer-songwriter Elisa Giulia Teschner. “My songs are still mostly written late at night, in my living room, when a melody on guitar or synth inspires me to develop something,” Teschner explains, with this track’s late-night appeal apparent in its murky guitars and haunting vocals.
Darkened guitar tones present a sludgy crawl amidst the haunting vocal expressions, with a chilly synth layering around 01:15 coinciding with a somber vocal turn. More guitar-based prominence in the second half bolsters the added vocal vigor.
