Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends – “No Sweet Dreams”

/

“No Sweet Dreams” is a new track from Swedish artist Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends. Spacey synths gear into enthused whistling and twangy guitars, as lyrics reflect the final breaths of a weekend. “She says it’s getting colder,” the vocals suggest as darkness approaches. Swift, cinematic strings complement a riveting, title-referencing chorus that exudes a savvy sense of mystery.

“Clouds fill the sky,” signals an intriguing, riveting bridge that culminates into the whistling initial hook, conveying “no sweet dreams,” with compelling allure. The artist describes the release as “on the surface a song about illness (or maybe drug abuse), but in its core a sad song about love, or at least memories of love.”

“No Sweet Dreams” was co-produced by David Myhr (of the Merrymakers), and features drumming from Andreas Quinzy Dahlbäck.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2022’ Spotify playlist.
