Bluhm – “Honey I’m Afraid”

//

The latest from Detroit-based band Bluhm, “Honey I’m Afraid” is a delightful track that meshes twinkling synths and guitar jangles with gorgeous vocals. Sweeping, romantic synths find lush accompaniment in steady percussion, which guide into a soaring vocal presence with serenely elegant qualities.

“I keep thinking, you don’t even know where you wanna go,” the vocals let out, expressing fear and uncertainty apparent in relationships. The contrasting moments of hypnotic guitar-laden minimalism and effervescent synths combines with lush vocals for an engrossing sound throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2022’ Spotify playlist.
