Reue x Synthemesc – “Always Late”

/

Representing the ninth song from Reue‘s “27 song releases project,” “Always Late” is a bustling electronic track with nocturnal techno inclinations. Collaborating with Colombian electronic artist Synthemesc, the Austin-based Reue (pronounced ‘roi-uh’) crafts a track with ample atmospheric engrossment. The two artists, well-respected in their underground electronic scenes, converge their talents for melding hypnotic atmospheric appeal with driving melodic fervor.

“Always Late” dazzles with its gradual escalation. Flickering bass emit a murky intrigue, resembling accelerating helicopter wings. House-friendly percussive additions past the two-minute mark delve into a blissfully atmospheric ambience around the three-minute turn; this lush soundscape serves as a brief interlude prior to a pulsating, energetic finale that wholly satiates. “Always Late” is a stylish late-night success from Reue and Synthemesc.

Reue was featured in October with the rainforest-inspired cut “Don’t Speak.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2022’ Spotify playlist.
