Rushkeys – “Kira”

/

Immersing with its pulsing rhythms and heady synth atmospherics, “Kira” is a new single from Rushkeys, the project of Lithuanian electronic artist and producer Domas Ruškys. The artist’s knack for incorporating lushly melodic charm with steady rhythmic engrossment is on display on “Kira,” which represents the first single from his upcoming 7-track LP, Outlook, releasing on March 3rd.

Shifty percussive hints and trickling synth work expand gradually, with a more fervent rhythmic life emerging after the 30-second turn. Icy synth arps eventually bolster alongside hypnotic, wordless vocal touches. Past the second minute, “Kira” embraces a club-forward rhythmic intent, with the heavy pulses and jungle-friendly synth colors intertwining with wholly melodic results. “Kira” is a fantastic production from Rushkeys, whose upcoming LP appears very promising.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2023’ Spotify playlist.
