Kess – “TV Screen”

//

“TV Screen” is the latest from Kess, the project of Wichita native Aaron Kessinger. Dreamy pop and psychedelic expansions alike compel throughout, centered around themes of “technological addiction and the essence of humanity.” The track comes via Kess’ upcoming debut album, Birthday Party.

The track’s “through your TV screen,” enamoring emits a nostalgic psych-pop glow with the woodwind-y effects and soaring vocal mellowness. I’m also taken by the dreamy, frolicking guitar work and haunting vocal backing rounding the three-minute mark. “TV Screen” is a stellar showing that infuses classic psych-pop charm with modern production shine.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2023’ Spotify playlist.
