Think Denim, dad – “Lost for Words”

/

Its quaint guitar work and spacey synths converging with chilling effect, “Lost for Words” is the new track from Think Denim, dad, the solo project of Belgian artist Levi Parent.

Parent describes the effort as describing “the moment you see your reality fall apart and realize things aren’t what you think they are. Being speechless as you see it crumble before your eyes…”

As such, the track’s “we were living in a bubble,” refrain plays with enduring qualities amidst the light guitar twangs and shimmering synth-laden textures. The playful backing vocal touches adds further to the mysteriously hypnotic immersion. “Lost for Words” engages in its cohesive, intriguing development from a piano/guitar folk composure into an eerily delectable synth-forward soundscape, as Parent’s vocals lend a consistent and assuring tone throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2023’ Spotify playlist.
