Dylan Mondegreen – “Let Someone In”

/

Tender guitars, soft woodwinds, and lush vocals enamor on “Let Someone In,” another beautiful entry from Dylan Mondegreen, the project of Norwegian singer/songwriter Børge Sildnes. First catching our ears with the track “Sunless Summer” in 2018, Sildnes has been creating music under the Dylan Mondegreen alias since 2005.

The dazzling “Let Someone In” consumes in its inviting backing vocal accompaniments and serenely enchanting orchestration, intertwining chamber-pop and folk sentiments. “The walls you build around you seem thicker every day,” the vocals lament, with reflective accompaniments gorgeously leading into the “I just can’t find my way,” flourishing. The track stands out with its lovely instrumentation and equally enticing vocal performances.

“Let Someone In” is a track from the new Dylan Mondegreen EP, released on April 21st:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2023’ Spotify playlist.
