“I’m not going to rest easy,” the unsettling vocals let out on “Bungalow Blues,” the swampy psych-infused single from Makoa Blue, the self-produced project of Atlanta-based artist Skye Passmore.
The lyrics prove fitting in matching the bluesy, ghostly ardency throughout the track, which Passmore describes as written “while in COVID quarantine and expresses the neuroticism that was coming out of me.” A soaring guitar solo past the two-minute mark drives into a haunting vocal immersion, singing about nocturnal souls with chilling qualities. “Bungalow Blues” is a stylish, psychedelic stomper from Makoa Blue.
