Slow Animals – “Bleedin’ Out”

/

Nashville-based quarter Slow Animals reveal a moody alt-rock disposition on memorable new single “Bleedin’ Out.” A grungy, slow-crawling guitar progression complements understated vocals to start, lamenting they’ve “been consumed by the red tape.”

A break-free invigoration arises upon the cathartic, anthemic vocal escalation that follows. Heavier guitar pulses accompany with vigor. Aspirations to find “a peaceful place to lay,” compel alongside modern frustrations, set against a fusing of alt-rock and grunge that proves melodically commanding. Exhilarating guitar-led intensity takes hold at the two-minute mark, driving into a riveting conclusion.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2023’ Spotify playlist.
