DD WALKER – “6 IN THE MORNING”

/

An emotively nostalgic alt-rock composure grips throughout “6 IN THE MORNING,” a standout new single from NYC-based artist DD WALKER. Fuzzy guitar distortion complements insomnia-friendly lyrical ruminations as additional guitar layers emerge. “Feel the heat, does it feel heavy?” the suave vocals ask, driving into twinkling guitar tones and understated vocal dreaminess, reminiscent of The Wrens.

“You fucked my friends, now I feel dead,” the vocals ask, contemplating whether it’s “the end.” Sludgy guitars follow into another “6 in the morning,” refrain, immersing into the satiating, melodic “make mess,” glistening. “6 IN THE MORNING” is a captivating rocker from DD WALKER.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2023’ Spotify playlist.
