Dr. Sounds – “Aquaflow”

/

Swedish artist Dr. Sounds crafts a lush engrossment through the single “Aquaflow,” designed to depict the “spiritual flow of bathing.” Bird-chirping, bright synths, and gentle water-splashing sounds craft an immediately enticing soundscape, riveting in its serenity. The synths maintain a steady tone, with subtle doses of increased effervescence — though overall, melding with a meditative ethos amidst the splashing water sounds. A summer-y warmness emanates throughout.

Alexander Forselius is the artist behind the project, noting inspirations like Brian Eno in delivering a spellbinding ambient spell. The track releases alongside a music video, below, with sights of futuristic cities and AI intrigue, meshing well with the track’s fantasy-like brightness. “Aquaflow” is an atmospherically immersive showcase from Dr. Sounds, who shows an innate ability to capture tranquil contemplation in audible form.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2023’ Spotify playlist.
