Justin Ready – “It Was The Dawn”

//

“It Was The Dawn” struts a strong, evolving rock appeal throughout, marking a thorough success from Justin Ready. Recorded in Portland, OR at Miracle Lake Studios, the track represents the first single from Ready’s upcoming solo album.

Weary vocals and steady guitars eventually “step outside,” escalating into a fervent vocal exultation that coincides with bursting guitar distortion. The nature-set imagery and cathartic lyrical realizations come forth as well, resonating firmly as the production excels with its dynamic, cohesive switch-ups from debonair, The National-esque verses and an enthusiastic uptick in guitar-fronted energy. We’re certainly looking forward to the upcoming album.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2023’ Spotify playlist.
