Avtumne – “Out Of Ammo”

/

“Out Of Ammo” is a resonating rocker from Miami-based, Cuban-American artist Avtumne. A ’90s alt-rock nostalgia complements lyrics exploring the tumult of a toxic relationship. Produced in collaboration with Marthin Chan, “Out Of Ammo” resonates in its emotively compelling rock composure; the rising “out of ammo tonight,” hook stirs especially with its chugging guitar pulses and soaring vocal confidence.

“Hurts like paper cuts, bickering that’s burning my lungs,” the initial vocals let out, emphasizing a deteriorating relationship and the consequent feeling of being “out of ammo tonight.” Apologies for “all the scars,” ensue amidst a bass-heavy engrossment, traversing seamlessly into another ardently impactful title-referencing hook. The bridge around 02:30 is certainly worth mentioning as well, projecting a dreamy allure into the invigorating central hook. “Out Of Ammo” is a powerful showing from Avtumne, capturing “a heart caught in the crossfire” with stylish rock appeal.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
