Bonnethead – “Night Time”

/

The debut single from Bonnethead, “Night Time” finds the Jacksonville-based band excelling with a melodic rock sound, spanning from a jangly understatement into a soaring beauty within the chorus. “You better shape up, before you fall off,” the vocals let out during steady verses.

Glistening guitar jangles escalate into the gripping “I don’t wanna,” proclamations in the chorus; the vibrant, expressive guitar tones align with a more soaring vocal inflection for a replay-inducing effect here. A dreamier meshing of reverbed vocals and more spaced-out guitar twangs appear with tactful precision before another stellar central hook to close things out. “Night Time” is a fantastic introduction from Bonnethead.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
