The Sound of Mountains – “Heal My Rage”

/

A gripping instrumental rocker with climactic structural fervency, “Heal My Rage” is the newest single from The Sound of Mountains. The project is based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and features Christopher Morin’s songwriting and multi-instrumental talents. “Heal My Rage” also features Luke Schoepf on bass. The third single from the project’s upcoming full-length album, “Heal My Rage” is described by Morin as about “having controlled justifiable anger but inviting healing to excess rage.”

A beautiful convergence of trickling guitar layers mingle during the introduction, as pit-pattering percussion gently eases in alongside. Peppier momentum traverses into crunchy guitar distortion providing a warming undercurrent, as powerful guitar lines escalate in tonal ferocity. “Heal My Rage” proves commanding in its gradual structural build, culminating in a lovely array of delectably twangy guitars that linger through the second half. The effort is a showcase in blissful instrumental rock production and radiant guitar-forward expressions from The Sound of Mountains.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
