Benjamin Longmire – “Be Good to People”

/

Yearning for days with greater unity and community, “Be Good to People” is an emotive rocker from New Mexico-based singer/songwriter and producer Benjamin Longmire. Lyrical references to downtrodden circumstances, and a desire to triumph in the face of them, complement psych-friendly guitar washes and twangy fixtures, which arise during the “when we dance together,” pining. “It’s about coming together and celebrating life together and being good to one another,” Longmire explains of the track, which excels especially when twangy guitar soaring aligns into a moving final vocal refrain.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
