Brett Altman – “Eye Mask”

/

An accessible electro-pop drive engages across “Eye Mask,” the new single from Brett Altman. Representing the fourth single from upcoming album My Way Out, “Eye Mask” stirs in its exploration of “what it means to be with a partner who refuses to accept the real you.” It’s end-of-relationship contemplations enamor alongside the melodic electronic pop production.

A peppy bass current complements vocals bemoaning a knack for sleepless nights. A more awakened, funk-tinged arsenal emerges, as the vocals clamor “to see me as I am.” The pop-forward momentum is quickly evident, particularly as Altman ascends into the punchy central refrain and soulful “how could you know,” vigor, swelling with synth-laden intensity. “Eye Mask” is a memorably anthemic yet still heartrendingly emotive showcase from Brett Altman.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
