Gold Stars For Everyone – “Parallax”

//

Spanning from funky momentum into an effervescent swirling of synths and guitars, “Parallax” is an infectious single out today from Brooklyn-based band Gold Stars For Everyone. Described as “a song about waking up in a post-pandemic world,” “Parallax” emphasizes the project’s tendency toward illuminated productions with big-time hooky climaxes.

Playful synths and a throbbing funk-ready bass line converge into a jubilant vocal lead, reminding enjoyably of MGMT. The pulsing bass and exuberant vocals ride seamlessly into glistening synth arps and blasts of guitar, melding together with seamless entrancement. “We got lost in the wilderness,” the vocals let out during an especially catchy turn, where lush guitar jangles complement the contagious vocals. “Parallax” is a firmly replay-inducing showcase from Gold Stars For Everyone.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
