TESHA – “Come Down”

/

From understated dreaminess to swampy rock entrancement, “Come Down” is a stellar single from Brooklyn-based artist TESHA. The sporadic, click-clacking “fire-starter,” first half builds a feverish sense of momentum into the “not sure what will happen tonight,” shift — which prompts an enjoyably more raucous fervency at 01:34; the added percussive flair proves enjoyable into the dreamy vocal and “calm down, give it to me harder,” dream-folk mystique to the track’s conclusion. A melodic, dynamic structural evolution takes hold throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
