Wax Pools – “Tell Me That You Miss It”

/

Melding modern pop whimsy with a sharp ’80s nostalgic swiftness, “Tell Me That You Miss It” is a new single from Wax Pools, an artist based in Washington D.C. — blending emo/pop-punk roots with a knack for hooky pop earworms. The single represents the first release of 2024 for Wax Pools, who put out their first EP last year. “Tell me that you miss it,” the vocals yearn, into an array of jangling guitars and punchy reverbed percussion for a replay-inducing engrossment. “Tell Me That You Miss It” is an illuminated, replay-inducing charmer from Wax Pools.

“This song is for those who can’t help but think about the past and wonder if they missed out,” the artist says.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
