All Those Flashing Lights – “Burn The Witch”

/

The debut single from All Those Flashing Lights, “Burn The Witch” consumes in its emotive rock developments — traversing from a quainter contemplation into soaring guitar work, concluding with a cathartic captivation. The band describes the track as “a call to arms of sorts.” They continue: “With turmoil at every turn, this song speaks to the ones who need a voice more than ever. Being different in this country could be a fatal thing.”

Solemn guitar trickles and a spacey, understated backing evolves into a caressing jangling. The lyrics reference the fear apparent in raising children in a world full of tumult, captured by vocalist Brad Clayton’s emotively sincere tone and lyrical outpouring. The erupting final minute stirs in its electrifying guitar work and delectably warbled bass drive. Mixed and mastered by Jason Kingsland, “Burn The Witch” is a striking introduction from All Those Flashing Lights.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
