Arily Michele – “Père Lachaise”

/

Arily Michele crafts a dream-pop mystique on new single “Père Lachaise,” where bright organ arpeggios combine with lush vocal layers for a sound reminiscent of Beach House.

Successfully aiming to capture “the atmosphere of a rainy day in a historic Parisian cemetery,” the production stirs in its evolving vocal lead, bolstered by gorgeous reflections and glistening keys alongside haunting synth pads. “They’ll know that you can’t be saved,” the vocals let out during the concluding textural expanse, sending chills into the memorable finale as the vocals admit “nothing in the world will make you happy.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
