Macek – “Quiet Quitting”

/

Ghostly guitar tones and synth-laden subtleties adorn “Quiet Quitting,” a track from Macek. The duo comprises two old friends: one based in Hamburg and its psych-rock scene, while the other performs in Berlin under the moniker Korora, creating electronic music.

Their rock and electronic creative synergy results in a gripping sound, aligning the members’ shared knack for dreamy atmospheric introspection and hooky structural developments — while also embracing their aesthetical differences. “Quiet Quitting” dazzles in its evolution from bass-heavy subduedness into a series of vibrant vocals and flourishing effervescence. We’re excited to hear what’s next from the project.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
