CITRA – “Papercuts”

/

“Papercuts” is a melodic rock single from Denver-based band CITRA, described as “ultimately an acceptance of the vulnerability that comes with being human.” The vocals maintain a captivating, soaring quality throughout, as the instrumentation swells from peppy percussive momentum into a burst of guitars during the title-referencing “hurt so much,” sequence. The thematic representations of papercuts as inevitable, and something to learn from, prove stirring within an accessible, hooky rock production.
