Trip Sitter – “Deaf Ears”

/

An emotive rock sound shines on “Deaf Ears,” a new track from Boston-based band Trip Sitter and their new album: Then Again, It Never Was. “Sometimes I wonder what happens when we die,” an introspective vocal intrigue shows during the verses, complemented by jangly guitars and heart-aching vocals that conjure a warming ’90s alt-pop/rock nostalgia.

“Leave me alone, I’ll be at home,” the vocals continue, launching thereafter into a sweltering array of fuzzy guitar distortion. “Deaf Ears” consistently compels in its range between quaint, twangy momentum and bursting rock charisma. “I’ll give you what you need,” the vocals call out during a soaring bridge, driving into a comforting finale as the guitars fade out. “Deaf Ears” is a thorough standout from Trip Sitter, amongst many highlights on the album, streaming below:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
